KAP

KAP

Utilizing ketamine as a catalyst to go deep within the self and leaning in to expansiveness and curiosity. I believe that every person has an inner healer or inner healing wisdom; KAP utilizes the therapy space, ketamine as the catalyst, and your own self as the path to healing and feeling connected.

What Is KAP?

KAP (Ketamine Assisted Therapy) is a type of therapy that utilizes Ketamine (medicine) in session to assist with processing and healing of wounds as well as reconnecting to self and the world around us.

Why Consider KAP?

Researchers, health care providers, and many others have found that KAP can do what traditional therapy can do, but in an expedited fashion. While research has shown KAP to be helpful with the healing of various mental health concerns, KAP can also be used to reconnect back to self and to others.

Is KAP Safe?

Yes. Ketamine was synthesized in 1962 and has been used in the medical field for decades. If you have ever had surgery or experienced a medical trauma in which you utilized the ER/ED it is very likely that you were administered ketamine.

KAP General Information

What Is The Process?

First, we will schedule a brief phone consultation to ensure whether or not KAP is a good fit for you. Second, you will meet with the clinician for the intake appointment to gather more information regarding current concerns and history. The clinician will consult with you regarding appropriateness for KAP; if KAP is appropriate, the clinician will send you to the prescribing physician for the medical evaluation and prescription. Third, you will engage in preparatory sessions for KAP. The amount of prep sessions can range, but will be no less than 3. Next will be the scheduling of the medicine session which will include the journey and gentle integration following. Lastly, an integration session will be scheduled 1-3 days following the medicine session. Frequency and number of KAP sessions scheduled will always be collaborative.

What Is The Difference Between KAP And An Infusion Clinic?

KAP is a process which involves adding a therapeutic component to the medicine. The clinician will be with you each step of the way. With an infusion clinic, this is a medical model and does not have the therapeutic component. Adding therapy to ketamine has been shown by research to extend the benefits of ketamine.
